Who Can Be Paid?TelPay serves the bill paying public in a variety of ways. The services available are illustrated as follows:
With most TelPay services you can pay anyone in Canada (and soon, in the world). All of our Internet and software products have our Pay Anyone capability. Only our telephone service is limited to a list of standard bills which exceeeds 4100 billers across Canada. TelPay Standard BillersTelPay Standard Billers are generally organizations that provide monthly bills such as utilities, credit card companies, etc. TelPay has an established relationship with over 4100 Standard Billers. Customer Specific BillersCustomer Specific Billers are billers set up by customers for his/her particular requirements. Generally, they will be billers that send invoices at irregular times. They will likely require details of the payment being made. Since TelPay may not have an established relationship with these billers, added information will be requested the first time a Customer Specific Biller is paid. Funds TransfersFunds Transfers are intended for transfers to another bank account and so only can be used when the recipient bank account is known. They are commonly used for transfers to relatives. Financial Service ProvidersFinancial Service Providers are financial institutions and others who provide bill payment services to their clientele. In many cases they use systems that are entirely provided by TelPay. Where we are supplying remittance processing only, we provide our Standard Biller list and software and handle the distribution of the payments collected by their own front end systems.
The biller information provided is the property of TelPay Incorporated and is provided solely for the purpose of facilitating the making of payments using TelPay's bill payment service. Any other use for any purpose whatsoever that has not been authorized in writing by TelPay Incorporated is strictly prohibited.
