Established in 1979, Celco Controls Ltd. is a leading full-service automation controls manufacturer with client firms across Canada. Celco’s clients include the Royal Canadian Mint as well as automobile manufacturers, pulp and paper producers, utilities providers and food processers.

Problem

As a small company with a long list of clients and suppliers, Celco’s accounting department had a tremendous amount of monthly paper transactions and its signing authorities were always on the go. Coordinating cheque signing was a major inconvenience and took an excessive amount of time. Copious resources were consumed just to keep pace with the flurry of paper, and, for a company that prides itself on leveraging technology for its clients, the problem was particularly concerning.

Solution

Celco’s management team understood that leveraging technology increases productivity and profitability – they have been providing technology solutions to their customers for over 30 years. It was, therefore, an easy decision to integrate Telpay for Business into Celco’s own accounts payable operations.

Results

Telpay’s software interfaced easily with Celco’s AccPac and Simply Accounting programs. The upgrade streamlined their payables and Celco saw a 30% savings in accounting overhead. Gone were the clunky manual transactions, piles of paper, and associated frustrations at month end.
