Howard W. Loewen, Chairman: Howard W. Loewen graduated from the University of Waterloo first with a BASc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and then with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. He is the owner, founder and Chief Executive Officer of MicroPilot. MicroPilot is the world leading manufacturer of miniature autopilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and micro aerial vehicles (MAV).
Gary Seveny, Director: Mr. Seveny was President and Chief Executive Officer of two financial institutions headquartered in Ottawa. He has been an active spokesperson for the financial industry on vision and regulatory change, appearing before many Committees.
W.H. Loewen, Director: Mr. Loewen founded Comcheq Payroll Services in 1968 and has been an innovator in providing payment services to Canadians ever since. His interest is good corporate governance and ensuring sound business practices are applied in all areas of the company.
James Richardson, Director: Mr. Richardson retired as a Vice President of James Richardson & Sons Limited and is currently the President & Director of Westmead Limited. He is also a director of several other private Canadian companies and volunteer organizations.
Alan Salmon, Director: Mr. Salmon is President and CEO of K2 Enterprises Canada which provides CPD training for accountants across Canada. He has over 25 years of experience in business, education, software design, marketing, and publishing.
Raymond Senez, Director: Mr. Senez is a Professional Engineer. Currently, he is the President of Telenium Inc. He has served as CEO and General Manager of CTI-ComTel Inc. Prior to joining CTI-ComTel, Mr. Senez held various positions at Comcheq Services Limited.
Marilyn Benninger, Director: Ms. Benninger is a Chartered Professional Accountant providing strategic advisory services to leading software companies whose products serve the needs of small businesses, accountants, and bookkeepers. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Telpay, MYOB, and Sage.
Kristen Wittman, Director: Ms. Wittman is a commercial lawyer and practices in partnership with Taylor McCaffrey LLP in Winnipeg. She represents a range of clients in size and industry and has special knowledge in matters of corporate governance.
Cora Jalonen, Director: Ms. Jalonen is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. She has over 20 years of accounting, financial management and internal audit experience within the financial services, manufacturing, transportation and not-for-profit industries.
Dale joined Telpay in 2017. A University of Manitoba alum, Dale has served in leadership and executive roles with a number of leading technology and consulting companies over the course of his nearly 30-year career in sales. In these positions, Dale has led teams serving customers across North America in the financial services, manufacturing, automotive and public sector markets. A member of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce’s Board of Directors (2011-2017), and Chair of its’ President’s Advisory Committee on Healthcare, Dale enjoys volunteering and holds the Children’s Wish Foundation and the United Way close to his heart.
Alan joined Telpay in 1995, as a data entry clerk and worked his way up obtaining A+ Certification and numerous other computer levels. He is an assistant hockey coach for his son’s team, plus he enjoys fishing and boating with his family.
Sheldon comes to Telpay from another Winnipeg-headquartered organization where most recently he was the Director of Finance. He is a University of Manitoba graduate (1999, Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) with Distinction) as well as a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba. In his spare time, he volunteers as a coach for minor hockey and baseball. Sheldon’s primary role will be managing the daily operations of Telpay’s trust fund, the designated bank account through which all customer funds pass through before arriving to a payment recipient. He will also be at the forefront of Telpay’s ongoing efforts to protect its customer base against fraudulent practices and mitigating against any issues.
John joined Telpay in 2005 and has over 18 years of Finance/Risk Management experience. As Vice President of Trust Operations at Telpay, John is responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of Telpay’s Trust accounts. Prior to joining Telpay John managed various domestic and international funding programs for the Canadian Wheat Board. A proud graduate of the University of Manitoba, he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Finance and Accounting as well as an undergraduate degree in Labour Studies and Economics. John’s domestic and international experience along with his curious nature fuels his passion for travel. When he is not working hard you most certainly will find him enjoying the outdoors and be spending time at his cottage with his wife and family.
Tina, who has a Certificate in Accounting and PCP, joined Telpay in 2004. Tina’s has extensive knowledge of the Telpay for Business system and is committed to customer satisfaction. Tina loves her trailer and quadding with her husband.
Jack who is CCNA and A+ Certified, joined Telpay in 2010. Starting off in the IT department, he has a wealth of Telpay technical knowledge. Jack loves music and is the lead guitarist and singer in Telpay’s house band “The Direct Deposits.”
Lyn is a skilled marketing strategist with over 10 years of knowledge and experience in strategy and execution, with expertise in content marketing, email marketing, Search Engine Optimization, social media, and more. She possess a never-ending passion for continuous learning and growth to generate conversions through both online and offline channels. Also, Lyn is intensely dedicated to make things happen whether that means promoting a product, helping customers – new and current – achieve success, or making sure to help her peers achieve their goals.
Andre, who joined Telpay in 2017, brings more than 16 years of sales success to the table. Andre moved to Winnipeg in 2016 from Sao Paulo, Brazil where his specialties lay in sales team management and business development and also worked in international opportunities with a UK-based company. Andre received his training at institutions both in Brazil and the United States, most recently completing FAAP University’s post-graduate degree in banking.
Dallas first worked for Telpay from 2002 to 2009. After a brief hiatus of nine years, he rejoined Telpay, realizing the enormous potential of the company (he also missed the great staff…and bake day). Dallas has been responsible for leveraging technology to bring innovative products and services to the financial services industry for over 20 years. Aside from his Bachelor of Education Degree (U of Manitoba), he holds two other designations in leadership (Certified Chief Executive and Certified Credit Union Director). In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his family, serving as a community leader (church, coaching softball), board games, video games and painting miniatures.
Originally from Winnipeg, Josh Logan went to the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business and attained his Honours in Business Administration degree. The early part of his career saw Josh spend time in both Winnipeg and Edmonton, gaining valuable experience in the financial world. Most recently, Josh worked with Scotiabank as a Senior Client Relationship Manager. In his position with Telpay, Josh will be working on strategies targeting specific industries and markets and acting as a relationship manager for clients and services. Outside of work, Josh is very committed to a variety of community causes. Organizations he has devoted time to include the YMCA, Junior Achievement, Ronald McDonald House, and the United Way.
